Girl Guides from Northwood Camp & Various Photos

by: Tracy Shuttleworth

Looking at the Girl Guide uniforms, I would guess these photos were taken about 1960-63. Before that time there was no open boat for transporting like seen in the picture ... they had a large red wooden boat which would make many, many trips back and forth at the beginning and end of each camp session, as well as on Visiting Day each Sunday. Such inconvenience of an island camp led to the move to nearby Butler Lake in 1962 or 63 where Mary and I also went.

The last picture is the Sesekinika railroad station which was torn down in the 80s?
